A University of MN Arboretum selection. Selected for its bright cherry red winter twig color. Dark green leaves have a good resistance to leaf spot. Flowers are in small clusters in late May to early June. Fruits are white, maturing in August and September and are attractive to wildlife. Fall color is reddish-purple. Plant in full sun or partial shade. Prefers moist soil, but adaptable to any soil except dry. An excellent plant for the winter landscape.
