Thick-leaf or Qinghai Spruce has a broad, pyramidal form.  Can grow to 80 feet, with bright green needles.  Recommended hardiness zone 5.  Native to mountains of central Asia – China 5,200 – 12,250 feet.  Drought tolerant and grows in cold, dry climate.  Occurs with Betula albosinensis and Populus tremuloids.
