Turkish fir is a fast growing tree with fragrant, short, dark green foliage with a silvery underside. Thrives in rich, acidic, well-drained soil and full to partial sun. Can tolerate wet soils and heat better than the other fir varieties. Very similar to the Nordmann fir.
The Turkish fir or Black Sea fir can grow to 50′ to 80′ tall and have a 10′ to 15′ spread when fully grown. This fir is a fast-growing fir that is more tolerant of warmer climates than other fir species. Its bark is a dark gray to black color with maturity. Older needles are very dark green, new needles are a bright almost lime green color. Branches are smooth and form a conical structure, they are very fragrant. These trees make excellent Christmas trees both living and cut down. They are increasing in popularity with Christmas tree growers.
Where it grows:
Plant Turkish fir in rich, acidic, well-drained soil in full to partial sun. Compared to other firs, Turkish fir can tolerate wet soils and heat.

Turkish fir is native to northern Turkey in the mountains around the Black Sea.

When ordering tray material, any 38 Ct and 50 Ct Evergreen Gro Plugs or 18 Ct cell liner trays, the order quantity must be in full tray increments.
Example
- 7 trays of 50 Ct Gro Plugs would be 350 plants on the order line.
- 5 trays of 18 Ct trays would be 90 plants on the order line.
All bare root birch single stem must be ordered in increments of 10.
