A slow-growing, medium to large conifer with a pyramidal to rounded shape, often seen as a spreading multi-trunked tree, known for its distinctive mottled bark that peels to reveal patches of green, white, cream and red-brown later in age. Needles are dark green, sharp and produced in fascicles of three that are sparsely arranged spirally on branchlets. Cones are egg-shaped, relatively small, solitary or in pairs, turning a yellowish brown as they mature. Grows best in full sun and well-drained, acidic soil. Widely cultivated as an ornamental or specimen tree.

Example
- 7 trays of 50 Ct Gro Plugs would be 350 plants on the order line.
- 5 trays of 18 Ct trays would be 90 plants on the order line.
All bare root birch single stem must be ordered in increments of 10.
