Our own strain of Mugo Pine, developed through controlled crosses to produce a seed stock block that yields superior seedlings. ‘ENCI’ Mugo is a heavily branched, low-mounding selection with short, dark green needles.
We begin pruning when seedlings are just 3 to 4 months old. Annual pruning, performed when new shoots (candles) have finished elongating, helps maintain dense, well-shaped plants. Many of our customers have commented on the uniformity of this selection—often asking if the plants are cutting-grown or grafted.
Performs best in full sun to partial shade and average soil conditions. Ideal for use in groupings, foundation plantings, or low hedges.

When ordering tray material, any 38 Ct and 50 Ct Evergreen Gro Plugs or 18 Ct cell liner trays, the order quantity must be in full tray increments.
Example
- 7 trays of 50 Ct Gro Plugs would be 350 plants on the order line.
- 5 trays of 18 Ct trays would be 90 plants on the order line.
All bare root birch single stem must be ordered in increments of 10.
