A slow-growing, relatively compact, pyramidal-shaped evergreen conifer with horizontal branches, known for its attractive foliage and strong ornamental appeal.
Needles are short, flat, and dark green, with a silvery underside created by white stomatal bands. Cones are upright and long, ranging in color from vibrant purple to blue, maturing to brown.
Prefers full sun to partial shade and moist, slightly acidic, well-drained soil. A popular choice for privacy screens, layered plantings, or as a specimen tree.
