A moderately growing, medium-sized, narrow evergreen tree with a pyramidal shape and graceful, weeping branches that are somewhat pendant and curl slightly at the ends.
Needles are blunt to slightly pointed at the tips, flattened in cross-section, and dark green above with two white stomatal lines beneath. Cones are spindle-shaped and broad in the middle, emerging dark purple and maturing to dark brown with stiff scales.
Adaptable to a wide range of soil types, including alkaline, clay, acidic, and sandy soils, it performs best in moist, well-drained loam. Grows well in full sun to partial shade.
One of the most attractive spruces, making it an excellent choice for landscape use as a vertical accent, privacy screen, or windbreak.

All bare root birch single stem must be ordered in increments of 10.
