Royal Frost Birch is a second-generation red-leaved, white-barked birch developed from a cross between Whitespire Birch and Crimson Frost Birch. It combines the upright habit of Whitespire Birch with the rich red foliage of Crimson Frost Birch, without the pendulous branching habit often associated with Crimson Frost.

This vigorous selection features deep red-purple leaves and striking white bark, creating exceptional contrast and season-long interest in the landscape.

Royal Frost Birch is not resistant to bronze birch borer, making proper site selection important to minimize plant stress. Perform best in locations where the root zone remains shaded and evenly moist during periods of hot weather. Adequate moisture during dry periods is essential for maintaining plant health and vigor.
