A loosely pyramidal birch that becomes more upright to rounded with age. The bark is reddish-brown when young, maturing to bright white after three to four years. As the bark exfoliates, it reveals attractive reddish-orange inner bark, providing exceptional year-round interest.
Foliage is dark green throughout the growing season, turning a rich golden yellow in fall. Widely regarded as one of the finest birches for fall color.
Performs best in full sun and rich, moist soil. Mulch plantings and provide supplemental moisture during extended dry periods.
An outstanding accent or specimen tree, commonly grown in multi-stem clumps for added landscape appeal. Considered one of the best white-barked birch selections available.
Notice
When ordering tray material, any 38 Ct and 50 Ct Evergreen Gro Plugs or 18 Ct cell liner trays, the order quantity must be in full tray increments.
Example
- 7 trays of 50 Ct Gro Plugs would be 350 plants on the order line.
- 5 trays of 18 Ct trays would be 90 plants on the order line.
All bare root birch single stem must be ordered in increments of 10.
