A large, tall and slender, slow to moderately growing, dense evergreen conifer with a pyramidal habit and spire-shaped crown. Needles are soft, aromatic and flat, typically light green in color with two grey-white stomatal lines underneath. Cones are cylindrical and upright with a bluish to brown color when mature that disintegrate after seed release. Very shade-tolerant, frost-resistant and hardy, surviving temperatures down to -58° F, making it one of the hardiest known trees. Prefers moist, well-drained soil. Great choice for adding vertical interest to the landscape or Christmas tree.

When ordering tray material, any 38 Ct and 50 Ct Evergreen Gro Plugs or 18 Ct cell liner trays, the order quantity must be in full tray increments.
Example
- 7 trays of 50 Ct Gro Plugs would be 350 plants on the order line.
- 5 trays of 18 Ct trays would be 90 plants on the order line.
All bare root birch single stem must be ordered in increments of 10.
