A large, tall, and slender evergreen conifer with a dense, pyramidal form and a spire-like crown. It grows at a slow to moderate rate. Needles are soft, aromatic, and flat, typically light green in color with two gray-white stomatal lines on the underside.
Cones are cylindrical and upright, maturing from bluish tones to brown and disintegrating after seed release. Highly shade-tolerant, frost-resistant, and extremely hardy, it can survive temperatures down to -58°F, making it one of the hardiest known trees.
Prefers moist, well-drained soil. An excellent choice for adding vertical interest to the landscape or for use as a Christmas tree.

When ordering tray material, any 38 Ct and 50 Ct Evergreen Gro Plugs or 18 Ct cell liner trays, the order quantity must be in full tray increments.
Example
- 7 trays of 50 Ct Gro Plugs would be 350 plants on the order line.
- 5 trays of 18 Ct trays would be 90 plants on the order line.
All bare root birch single stem must be ordered in increments of 10.
