A slow-growing, long-lived conifer characterized by its graceful, lacy, dense evergreen foliage. Pyramidal shaped when young, becoming more open and pendulous with age. Needles are dark green, short, flat and arranged in a two-ranked fashion along the branches with two white bands of stomata on the underside. Cones are small, ovoid, brown and hang down from the branches. Prefers partial shade and slightly acidic to neutral, nutrient-rich, moist, well-drained soil. Very desirable as an ornamental specimen and often used for screens or small group plantings.

When ordering tray material, any 38 Ct and 50 Ct Evergreen Gro Plugs or 18 Ct cell liner trays, the order quantity must be in full tray increments.

Example
  • 7 trays of 50 Ct Gro Plugs would be 350 plants on the order line.
  • 5 trays of 18 Ct trays would be 90 plants on the order line.

All bare root birch single stem must be ordered in increments of 10.
