Black spruce is a small, conical, slow growing evergreen. It has descending branches, with dark, bluish-green needles, and upturned ends. Lower limbs will sweep the ground. It is an excellent choice for cold northern climates. Spruce need little in the way of pruning. Tolerant of wet soils but prefers acidic, moist, well-drained soil and full sun. The cones are small, rounded, dark purple to red and appear in clusters at the top of the tree. Black spruce is attractive to birds & butterflies and makes a great shade tree.

When ordering tray material, any 38 Ct and 50 Ct Evergreen Gro Plugs or 18 Ct cell liner trays, the order quantity must be in full tray increments.

Example
  • 7 trays of 50 Ct Gro Plugs would be 350 plants on the order line.
  • 5 trays of 18 Ct trays would be 90 plants on the order line.

All bare root birch single stem must be ordered in increments of 10.
