A naturally occurring hybrid between Sitka Spruce and White Spruce, featuring a broad, dense, upright habit with symmetrical, downturned branches and a strong central leader.
Needles are blue-green to gray-green in color, sharply pointed, slightly flattened in cross-section, and have fewer stomatal lines on the outer faces. Cones are pendulous, slender, and cylindrical, with a more rounded shape than those of the parent species.
Known for its adaptability, it performs best in full sun and well-drained soil. Suitable for use as a privacy screen or hedge, and makes an excellent specimen tree due to its striking appearance.
